Slakthusområdet is getting its first homes right now – the city's target is around 3,000 homes by about 2035, and the first tenants moved into the Kylfacket block in May 2026. What there is to rent or buy is new construction, let and sold by the developers themselves.

Rental apartments of 1–5 rooms and a number of small commercial units, built by a consortium of five property owners (Mandel Fastigheter, Taksprånget, Fahlin Förvaltning, Hemvist Förvaltning and L&L Riksby) according to Fastsam's own project page. The city writes 165 rentals and five townhouses in hand-moulded red-black brick; the first keys were handed over in May 2026 – the district's first residents.
Condominiums of 1–5 rooms in two associations, Stora and Lilla Fransyskan, designed by Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter with brick facades; prices from 2,995,000 kronor for a 33-square-metre studio according to Besqab's own page. A preschool in the block and a restaurant, deli or café planned at street level. The showroom is in Ahouse Börshuset at Slakthusplan 3.
Around 25 townhouses and 100 apartments, condominiums designed by Jägnefält Milton and Nordic Swan certified, according to Åke Sundvall's own page – "sales under way" through interest registration. The city counts the block as 102 apartments and 23 townhouses.

Rental apartments let through Bostadsförmedlingen, with a separate preschool and commercial units at street level, according to Primula's own project page. The city's phase page says 142 apartments – the developer's page prevails.
Student and researcher housing of 6,562 square metres in total, production start 2026, let through K2A's own housing queue according to the company's property page. The city splits them into 172 student and 75 researcher flats, with a preschool and the sports hall Slakthushallen in the same block.
Condominiums with street-level premises – Svenska Hem's page only takes interest registrations and says the final plans are not ready. The count, 51, is the city's figure on the phase page.
Homes of 2–5 rooms beside the coming Södra park and the villas of Gamla Enskede, built to the Selvaag Pluss concept with a staffed reception, gym, party room and guest rooms, around 60 garage spaces and over 600 bicycle spaces, according to Selvaag's own page. The city counts around 165 condominiums in the allocation.
