Stockholm Roast roasts its coffee in Slakthushallarna at Hallvägen 9, in a room the landlord describes as a former truck garage, and calls itself roastery, shop and coffee bar – the idea, in the founders' words, being that people should drink coffee in a roastery rather than the roastery sitting in a café. The company was started in 2011 by Johan Montan Ahlgren and Øner Kulbay, who in 2023 opened their first restaurant, Bar Montan, around the corner on Hallgränd. The coffee bar is open Tuesday to Friday 9–15. The shop sells the beans, brewing equipment and clothing, and the web shop ships free within Sweden on orders over 300 kronor. No food menu is published.
